Who are we?
We met through our shared work and strong belief in the power of innovation. Our passion for this brought us closer, and as we opened up about our personal lives, we found ourselves reflecting on a challenge many women face: the pressure to choose between motherhood and a successful professional development. For those who want both, the obstacles can be overwhelming, often more complex and less discussed than they should be.
Driven by our innovative approaches, we decided to dig deeper, expanding our understanding beyond just our own experiences. We began connecting with other women who had already navigated the balance between motherhood and work, gathering their stories. These conversations exposed important gaps in information, practical advice, and strategies that could help others manage both roles more effectively.
This exploration inspired us to create The New Generation Voice. We are fueled by the belief that the greatest limit often resides in our minds, and with the right mix of determination, information, and passion, anything is possible.
Hi! I’m Valentina
I’m covering a role of responsibility at an international company, and I invest a lot in my professional and personal growth. My mission is to become an independent and impactful woman, both at work and in my private life.
Staying up to date and continuing to learn is one of my top priorities. Besides work and training courses, I dedicate myself with passion to Neo, my beloved dachshund. My partner and I are planning our wedding, and I love spending quality time with my family.
With such a busy schedule, I can’t help but think: "If it's already challenging as it i now, how will it be with a child?" I want to become a mother, but it seems like the right moment never comes. One day I want to go back to studying, and the next I aspire to a promotion or a new professional challenge, maybe abroad. Yet, I know well that you would say to me: "There’s never a perfect time to become a parent."
I often ask myself: is it really necessary to choose? Do we have to give up our ambition or the immense joy of becoming a mother? I don’t think so. I have never given up in the face of difficulties, and I am convinced that there is a way to help me, and many other women in the same situation, achieve both dreams.
I strongly believe that with the right organization, information, determination, and support, it is possible to nurture a fulfilling career while also building a family.
I’m driven by the belief that I can continue contributing with passion to my work, keeping my curiosity alive, even while embarking on the extraordinary adventure of motherhood.
Hi! I’m Janine
I had my first child, Adriano, in February 2023. It was just two days after I had accepted a new role that I had been dreaming about for a long time when I found out I was pregnant. In that moment, the sense of immense joy was accompanied by a surge of fear and almost a sense of regret for having accepted the promotion. I remember thinking, "If only the job offer had come a few days later, after I found out I was expecting, I probably would have turned it down." The doubts flooded my mind: "I won’t be able to give my best. What will my colleagues and the boss who hired me think? How will I take time off right after starting a new job?"
These thoughts weighed heavily on me and would have made me second-guess my decision to accept the opportunity I had worked so hard for. But as it turned out, everything worked out much better than I could have imagined. My boss was incredibly understanding and supportive, and my colleagues were genuinely happy for me. I was even able to dive into my new role with enthusiasm and dedication right up until the day my little one decided to make his grand entrance into the world.
This entire experience taught me something invaluable: our greatest limits often come from within. As women, mothers, and professionals, we sometimes hold ourselves back, but we deserve to give ourselves the chance to prove that we can succeed in all areas of our lives.
