In October 2024, we launched this project by leveraging the same methodology we use for driving innovation: engaging directly with our target audience to gain a deep understanding of their perspectives. We recognized that to truly address the intersection of motherhood and career, it was essential to start by listening to the experiences, challenges, and aspirations of the women who live it every day.
By reaching out to our community, we sought to uncover the diverse and nuanced views on balancing motherhood and professional life. This approach allowed us to ground our project in real-world insights, ensuring that our initiatives are not only relevant but also genuinely impactful.
Over the course of one month, we had the privilege of interviewing 10 incredible moms and professionals. Their openness and sincerity fueled our research and solidified the vision behind New Generation Voice. What we discovered confirmed what we’ve always believed: we are all extraordinary parents, parents-to-be, and passionate professionals, contributing wholeheartedly to the world around us. At New Generation Voice, we don't differentiate by gender because we recognize that everyone plays an equally vital role in being caring parents and dedicated achievers—and that's exactly how it should be.
Throughout these conversations, we uncovered a wealth of positive experiences and success stories, even amidst the challenges. We learned that support systems, whether they come from family, friends, or professional networks, are a conscious choice we make. We delved into the networks of professional support that are essential for new moms, from nurses and birth clinics to physiotherapy centers, support groups, and online communities. These resources are crucial in helping mothers navigate the complexities of this life stage.
Additionally, we gained insight into the practical side of things—like managing workplace communication, handling the paperwork for maternity leave, and understanding the financial adjustments that come during this period. This journey has been enlightening, and it has deepened our commitment to creating a platform that reflects the real needs and aspirations of our community.
